2015 Neuheit: Twisted Colossus (Hybrid Coaster, RMC) @ Six Flags Magic Mountain

Bevor es dann geschieht, also dass die Bahn geschlossen wird, gibt es noch eine "Kolossale" Verabschiedung. SFMM plant: 36Stunden dauerhaft fahren! Man kann sich bewerben, aber das wir hier in DE wohl keiner machen :/

Ich finde das Ok ^^ Außerdem bekommt man nach pro stunde 15 Minuten pause. Wird wohl trotzdem schmerzhaft enden

Huu, das wäre dann der erste RMC duelling Coaster, aber ich sehe wie viel Platz für neues bei einem Abriss geschaffen werden würde. Aber bei einem Klassiker möchte man nicht dran denken ^^

Ob RMC-Umbau oder was neues, da kommt auf jeden Fall wieder ne Achterbahn hin schätze ich! SFMM lässt sich sicher nicht den Titel als "Coastercapital of the World" nehmen.....

Die Bahn/en bekommt/bekommen angeblich den Namen Twisted Colossus. Die Internetseite für alle Neuheiten war wohl für einen kurzen Moment online und dabei konnte man schon die Namen aller Neuheiten lesen

Die Bahn wird wirklich Twisted Colossus heissen! Ausserdem wird Colossus wohl zu einer Art Möbius-Racing Coaster umgebaut. Somit ist es der längste Hybrid Coaster der Welt (über 5000ft / 1500m lang) mit einer Fahrtzeit von 4 Minuten.

Weitere Fakten:

• “Top Gun Stall” – an inversion where the train slows down upside down
• Western Hemisphere’s first “High Five” – where two trains pass through an overbanked turn facing each other with the illusion that you can reach out and “high five” other riders
• Zero G Roll where track twists 360 degrees
• A staggering 128-foot drop at an amazing 80-degrees
• 18 airtime hills
• Two lift hills
• Four minutes of thrills on nearly 5,000 feet of track – longest hybrid coaster in the world

Das schaut schon ziemlich fett aus. Ich sehe nur schon wieder das die Züge nicht so schön parallel fahren werden, weil entweder SFMM spart und in der Nebensaison nur eine Seite fahren lässt oder innerhalb der ersten Wochen irgendeinen Volldeppen das Handy bei der Inversion aus der Tasche fällt und den darunter fahrenden Personen in die Fresse fliegt (siehe Duelling Dragons).

Andy es gibt nur eine Seite , die Frage ist also nur ob die Abfertigung schnell genug ist damit der 1. Zug auf seinem 2. Lifthill genau da ist wenn der 2. aus der Station fährt

Geniales Teil! Die Verbindung zu einer Bahn ist natürlich klasse, da hat man dann ein wirklich langes Erlebnis!

Die Synchronisation wird natürlich wieder so eine Sache. Laut Video kommen die Züge ja beabsichtigt nicht gleichzeitig am First Drop an, um sich dafür auf der Strecke, insbesondere in den Inversionen, zu begegnen. Vielleicht kann man Schwankungen bei der Abfertigung durch die Liftgeschwindigkeit kompensieren. Da der Zug nach der ersten Runde aber schon ziemlich hoch auf den Lifthill auffährt wird das wohl eher schwierig.
