Shanghai Disney Resort: erster Spatenstich

Wirklich beeindruckende Zahlen:eek:

Hier mal die neusten Gerüchte und Fakten:

New Raft Ride Coming to Disneyland in Shanghai

Jungle Cruise Themed Raft Ride on its way to Shanghai Disneyland

Shanghai, China -

With the Disneyland in Shanghai, China, scheduled to open sometime in 2015, guests and visitors will have a unique wide variety of rides and attractions to experience upon opening . One of these rides will be a jungle-themed cruise style ride. Travelers who have been to Disney's California Adventure, located in Anaheim, California, will see that this new raft ride will feature a system much alike of the Grizzly River Run attraction in operation there. With this using a similar system, Disney does like to keep its rides and attractions unique and different from each other across all of its parks throughout the world. According to Screamscape, the park will feature the classic attractions seen at the parks worldwide, as well as brand new attractions never seen before at any park. Disney plans on having a different and original theme to this new raft ride and not make anything completely identical to what one would experience at the Disneyland park located in Hong Kong, China, which is back on the mainland of China.

There are several other rumored rides and attractions that will be a part of the new Disneyland park. Another one is a boat ride, which will be very similar to the Disney Jungle cruise seen at the other Disney parks. This attraction is always very popular among Disney goers. As of right now, the famous Space Mountain structure is absent from the current plans, but one should not get their hopes down on this popular indoor roller coaster never coming to Shanghai as it could always come to the park as an addition in the future. Disneyland Paris's Space Mountain was actually not opened upon the park's debut but was later added as part of an expansion to the park.

Travelers who have been to several Disney parks around the world who are used to seeing a Main Street style entrance at a Magic Kingdom park, will not be seeing one of these style entrances at Disneyland Shanghai, which is obviously set to be a Magic Kingdom style park. According to the plans, this 11 acre area of the park will feature a lot of trees, the popular Disney walk around characters, as well as various water elements will be the first thing visitors see upon their entrance to the new park. The giant animated drawing does feature the popular Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride as well as a carousel. According to Disney, they want this area to be "a place where family and friends can enjoy local cultural celebrations and customs together." The concept art for the park appears to feature at least three different sections of the park, which will include Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. The artwork shows Adventureland being right of the castle, which is where Tomorrowland is usually located. The artwork shows an enormous pirate fortress, which likely is going to feature a Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, that was supposed to come to Disneyland Hong Kong, but never did. This area is also rumored to be getting a new version of the popular Indiana Jones attraction, as a temple like structure appears on that part of the concept art. Tomorrowland, shown on the left side of the map, a large dome is also shown, which could be a Space Mountain ride if the park ends up building one right at upon debut, or it could be something else and Space Mountain could come later down the road. A tron themed roller coaster is also rumored to be coming to Tomorrowland, and is said Shanghai just needs to give this a final approval and then will be all set to go forth with. Star Tours 3D could also be coming as well to this modern-themed area. Fantasyland appears to be behind the castle, as it is normally at other parks, but it is not very clear as to what guests will come across in this area of the park yet. A Little Mermaid Dark ride could be found in this area as well as a Philharmagic. Disneyland Shanghai is projected to attract around 7.3 million visitors annually.

Neues Tomorrowland

Neues Tomorrowland

While we’re still working on hammering out the details of what rides people can expect to see show up in Shanghai Disneyland, I’ve been told that Space Mountain will not be included in that park’s version of Tomorrowland. There has been quite a bit of speculation that the Shanghai version of Tomorrowland would be significantly different than anything we’ve seen built before at a Disney park, which seemed to be backed up by the odd-looking overview look of the land, as well as it’s placement on the left side of the hub instead of placing it on the right side where Tomorrowland normally resides.
I’ve heard from a few people that the main anchor attraction under consideration for this new Tomorrowland concept, which may not even be called Tomorrowland, could be an indoor Tron themed coaster concept. I hope to have more details on this soon.

Tron Coaster?

Tron Coaster?

Screamscape sources tell us that the Tron themed coaster planned for Shanghai Disneyland is a fairly solid lock-in project at the moment, though very little is 100% locked in for sure until the final budgets are approved. The coaster will have a Lightcycle theme and use the Vekoma Motobike coaster system… indoors… kicking things off with a high speed launch start and run through an intense but inversion-free layout through the world of Tron.
Meanwhile on the other side of the park, I’ve also been told about a new River Rapids style attraction in the works that has been described as being very similar to Grizzly River Run in California Adventure. But instead of being themed to bears… this one will have dinosaurs and be called the Lost World River Rapids. Sounds very exciting and new. From what I’m told, the Lost World River Rapids is the dark mountain near the front right side of the park (sitting where one would normally expect to see Space Mountain) in the original park aerial concept art image.
Now for those keeping track of the things we wont see in the park, you can add Frontierland up there next to Space Mountain on that list, which isn’t all that surprising as I don’t think the Chinese have any love for the American Western genre. As one might expect, the park also wont have a Main Street, and perhaps the biggest surprise to some is that this will be the first Magic Kingdom park to not have a train making a loop around the park’s perimeter. (Note: Tokyo has a train, but it only makes a loop around Westernland.)

20110811_479588_01.jpg

Two images from Walt Disney show the outside and the interior of the planned Shanghai Disney Resort's Storybook Castle. When work is complete, the castle will become the largest Disney castle to have been built. Visitors will be able to take a 10-minute ferry boat trip from the ground floor of the castle around other scenic spots in the resort. In the heart of Enchanted Storybook Castle is a magnificent winding staircase (left) that will lead guests on a "Once Upon a Time Adventure" featuring Disney princesses, the company said yesterday. An ornate archway (right) provides a grand entrance to the castle, which Walt Disney says is the inspirational icon of Shanghai Disneyland.

Sneak Peek: Enchanted Storybook Castle at Shanghai Disneyland

In April, we officially broke ground on Shanghai Disney Resort, our sixth resort destination around the world and our third in Asia. That’s when Tom Staggs, Chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, shared a few early renderings of the resort.
Today we’ve got more to share. At the D23 Expo, Tom and Bob Weis, Executive Vice President, Creative, Walt Disney Imagineering, updated us on the progress being made on the resort and gave us a sneak peek at the new Enchanted Storybook Castle.

The Enchanted Storybook Castle is going to be the largest and most immersive castle at any Disney park around the world and it will be the first of our castles not dedicated to a specific princess because it represents all of them. Inside, guests will be able to explore the multi-level castle, which will feature a princess meet and greet, the first ever Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique princess makeover experience inside a castle and Once Upon a Time Adventure, a large-scale, walkthrough experience. Also for the first time, the castle will be part of a boat ride attraction that will be one of the anchor experiences of Fantasyland.

Start date for next Disneyland stage

Shanghai Disneyland will start taking shape in the spring, with work set to begin on attractions, government officials said yesterday.

Preparatory work on the first Disneyland on the Chinese mainland began in April, with the theme park scheduled to open in 2015. This stage of the project is set to cost 29 billion yuan (US$4.6 billion), including the park, hotels and leisure facilities. Other stages are planned afterwards.

Jiang Shujie, deputy director with the Shanghai Construction Commission, said nearly 3 billion yuan has been spent on preparatory construction. This includes building roads and drainage systems, as well as sightseeing and traffic structures. Preparatory work should be finished by the spring, after which builders can move on to Disneyland attractions, Jiang said.

Work has begun on a 10-kilometer waterway attraction that will enclose the site. A 5-kilometer stretch is currently being dug at the northwest of the site, Jiang said. He added that two elevated roads connecting the site to the S1 and S2 highways are under construction and could open next April.

A Metro link will also be built.

Authorities have already revealed a rough plan indicating how Shanghai Disneyland could look, attracting great interest.

Jiang said the bidding process for the detailed design had begun, but did not elaborate on likely candidate designers.

The city said it has spent about 100 billion yuan this year on major government-backed construction projects. These were mostly aimed at upgrading traffic and other facilities to boost the local economy.

Officials said there will be a substantial increase in next year's budget for similar work.

Around 30 tunneling machines are currently at work in Shanghai, as the city builds more subway lines and other tunnels, said the construction authority.

By 2015, the Metro network will have grown from 420 to 500 kilometers, said Jiang.

Eine Baustelle mit Disney Ausmaßen:eek:

Das neuste zum Disneyland Shanghai:

Screamscape schrieb:
The latest report from Disney and More has quite a bit to share about the possible attraction lineup we could be seeing at Shanghai Disneyland, which also involves a possibly scaled back “Phase 1” plan, with more attractions left up in the air as possible future expansion space. Please keep in mind that there is a lot of time left before we see this park open and the plans are bound to go through a ton of changes along the way still before the first guests are allowed in through the gates.
From the sound of things currently, Fantasyland may be the most fleshed out land designed for the park. This makes sense as it is also the most likely land to contain the most “off-the-shelf” style attractions installed at other Disney parks. The list implies we can count on seeing classic rides like Dumbo, a Carousel and Peter Pan’s Flight, with the Winnie the Pooh dark ride said to be a close copy of the Florida and Hong Kong versions, and not the Tokyo version. The land is also supposed to feature a copy of the new Seven Dwarves Mine Train ride currently going into Walt Disney World, in addition to the unique “Castle Boat Ride” we’ve talked about previously. Disney and More believes that the Tea Cups ride however may not make the cut.
Adventureland sounds like it will match up quite well with what I’ve also reported lately, and feature the Lost World River Rapids ride as well as a heavy themed pirates area that will be home to a new generation Pirates of the Caribbean ride as well as a possible Pirates themed stunt show. Disney and More believes there may be some kind of walk through attraction named “Sunken Treasure” here as well. (I’ve got to wonder if this may be more of an exportable environment style thing to appeal to the kids much like the Pirate’s Lair built on top of Tom Sawyer’s Island at Disneyland.)
All that is known about the parks other major land, Tomorrowland, is that it will feature that long rumored Tron Lightcycle themed indoor coaster. There is also a desire for an Astro Orbiter, an interactive Stitch Encounter as seen in Hong Kong as well as a possible new Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters style dark ride concept that could have more in common with Toy Story Mania than previous Buzz Lightyear rides.
