Legoland California is holding a big press announcement this Thursday (Aug. 25th) where they will have an announcement for “the largest expansion in the history of the Legoland California Resort”.

GROUND BREAKING: October 2011 LOCATION: LEGOLAND® Hotel will be located to the right of LEGOLAND California’s entrance in an area currently used for bus parking.

NUMBER OF ROOMS: 250

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The three-story LEGOLAND Hotel will be the only one of its kind in North America and will include interactive family fun that brings children’s imaginations to life. The LEGO®-themed hotel will feature brightly colored LEGO décor throughout the hotel, a pool area and restaurant.

CONSTRUCTION COMPANY: Yet to be hired

BRICK-A-BRAC: While this is the first LEGOLAND Hotel in the United States, it is the second in the world. Jetzt ist es wohl raus... es kommt nicht nur das neue Hotel, sondern auch ein Shot the Chute von Hopkins (Spillwater). Das ganze wird wohl mit Vikingerthema gebaut

Die Anlage erhält also kein Wikinger- sondern ein Piratenthema und wird auch nur 8 Meter hoch...

Die Wasserbahn wird am 24. Mai eröffnen und zusammen mit dem Star Wars Miniland (Eröffnung am 29. märz) die diesjährigen Neuheiten des Parkes bilden.

Die Wasserbahn wird zwischen dem Freizeitparkbereich und dem Wasserpark installiert, somit kann man von beiden Parkteilen aus damit fahren.

na bumm. wie ich damals dort war (etwa vor 6 jahren oder so) hab ich das von so ner ausichtsplattform aus angeschaut um dann zu entscheiden reinzugehen oder nicht. aber das hat vollll klein und langweilig ausgesehen damals schon kuhl, wie sich die dinge entwickeln.
