Chessington hat mal wieder Baupläne für die Öffentlichkeitsbeteiligung an einem neuen Projekt veröffentlicht.

Neben dem Hotel soll ein kleiner Wasserpark gebaut werden, der wohl vor allem das Hotel attraktiver machen soll. Das wenig genutzte Conference Centre würde dafür zu einem Umkleidebereich umgebaut werden.

THE PROPOSALS​

The proposals include an extension to the existing Safari Hotel to create a new waterpark adventure. This site has been identified as the best location given the site characteristics and operational requirements of CWoAR.

The currently underused hotel conference centre will be refurbished for guest changing areas, lockers and WCs. A new extension will create an indoor sub-tropical paradise through a variety of water based activities including themed pools and slides, spa facilities, wave pool and a lazy river which transports guests outdoors overlooking the unique environment of the ‘Wanyama Reserve’.

The waterpark will create a ‘wild adventure’ by bringing guests closer to animals including two indoor floor to ceiling fish tanks and a meerkat enclosure visible from the lazy river.

The building, set across two levels, will include the main guest experience area and an outdoor terrace offering guests a space to relax and enjoy extended views across the ‘Wanyama Reserve’. At the upper level a small food and beverage provision is proposed.

The proposals also include a new hub building (‘Lazy River Retreat’), located next to the lazy river and overlooking the ‘Wanyama Reserve’ which will provide additional leisure space, food and beverage opportunities.

Sehr spannendes und logisches Projekt. Guter Mix und tolle Gestaltung.

OT/Spekulatius: Wenn das erfolgreich wird, wäre das die logische Konsequenz für den Heide Park und das Hotel zum Ganzjahres-Ziel zu machen und Mehrtages-Besuch zzgl. evt. einer Hotelerweiterung.
