Anscheinend arbeitet man momentan an der Gesamtvermarktung des gigantischen "Dubai Parks & Resorts" Projektes.

Dabei ist dieses schöne Animationsvideo rausgekommen:

Auch wenn die Vertonung sowie die Animation solbst nicht mit dem Branchenprimus mithält, so finde ich den sehr eindringlichen Themensong "All the Wonders of the Universe" wirklich sehr gelungen

Dubai Parks and Resorts wird am 31 Oktober 2016 mit einer Teilöffnung an den Start gehen:

Dubai Parks and Resorts announced on Thursday that it will open its gates to the public on October 31, 2016.

There will be a partial opening for Motiongate Dubai, which features rides and attractions by three Hollywood film studios: Sony Pictures Studios, DreamWorks Animation and Lionsgate.


The other parks will open fully:

“We plan to launch with full experiences for Bollywood Parks Dubai, Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park, Lapita Hotel and Riverland Dubai, while a significant portion of MOTIONGATE Dubai will premiere on 31st October, work on some of the attractions will be ongoing to create the very best experience for guests,” said Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, CEO of Dubai Parks and Resorts, in a statement.

Die Parks Bollywood, Legoland Park und Wasserpark werden versucht vollständig zu eröffnen, jedoch wird nur ein Teil des Motiongateparks am 31.10. eröffnet.

Echt Wahnsinn in was für einem Tempo manche Projekte in den Emiraten hochgezogen werden. Knapp 16.500 Arbeiter auf der Baustelle sind mal eine Ansage! Ich zweifle nicht daran, dass der ergeizige Zeitplan eingehalten werden kann

Bei whatson.ae gibt es schon ein erstes Modell aus dem späteren überdachten Miniland zu sehen!

Das Modell des Taj Mahal besteht aus 280.741 Lego Steinen und wurde in 2.019 Arbeitsstrunden erschaffen! Angeblich wiegt es mehr als 280.000 Kilogramm (die Angabe klingt sehr unrealistisch, es sei denn da wurde das Betonfundament der ganzen Halle mit eingerechnet ).

Insgesamt sollen 15.000 Legomodelle mit insgesamt 60. Mio. Steinen den Weg in den Park finden!

Wenn der Park fertiggestellt ist wird es dort über 40 interkative Attraktionen/Shows/Sehenswürdigkeiten in 6 Themenbereichen geben (Lego City, Factory, Imagination, Kingdoms, Adventure & Miniland).

In folgendem Artikel wird das Gewicht des Taj Mahals mit rund 645kg angegeben. Etwas mehr als 2g pro Stein erscheint mir auch realistischer.

Die Arbeiten am Riverland, quasi dem Bindeglied aller Parks, schreiten auch gut voran:

Sofern die Parks gut angenommen werden, wird da abends ordentlich Betrieb sein. Kann man wohl am besten mit dem Universal City Walk in Orlando vergleichen. Der 1 km lange und bis zu 5,5 Meter Tiefe "Fluss", der dem Bereich seinen Namen gibt, zeigt auch hier wieder die gigantischen Dimensionen dieses Projektes!

Der Motiongatepark wird bis zur Eröffnung am 31 Oktober nicht komplett fertig, soll dann aber mit den schon fertigen Attraktionen in einem Softopening mit reduzierten Preisen an den Start gehen!

"While a significant portion of the MOTIONGATE™ Dubai will premiere on 31st October, enhancements of some of the attractions will be ongoing for a couple of months to create the very best experience for guests. During this period a “Discovery” price of AED 240 for adults and AED 210 for children and seniors will be offered."

The regular price of Motiongate per day will be AED330, Bollywood will be AED285 and Legoland 295 (without water park, which will be 240). Multi-Day tickets will be available, too. However, on these, there doesn't seem to be a Discovery price so it might be cheaper to buy single tickets at first.

Der Shooter ist nicht wie die neuen Shooter von Triotech, die gerade an alle Legoländern ausgeliefert werden, sondern ist ganz normal mit Laserkanonen ausgestattet.
